Healing with the Flowers ~ a day retreat on a local flower farm

Here are a couple reviews of last year’s retreat -

“I had such an amazing time at the healing with flowers retreat! The farm was beautiful and perfect place to ground for the day. Sara Rose lead a gentle yoga class by the creek which was  just what my body needed. I was amazed walking around learning about all the plant medicine that was there. It was really cool to be able to pick plants and make a tincture out of it. I was amazed with the giant arrangement I brought home along with some extra flowers. I learned so much about arranging flowers that I’m still having fun exploring. Sara Rose and Phoebe were both such a wealth of knowledge and held a great space.” ~Kate

“I had the most wonderful and revitalizing day at the Healing with Flowers Retreat. It was astonishing how much abundance could be packed into just one day! We learned so much about Phoebe's farm and practices, as well as the sustainable eco system and wild medicine on her land. The yoga flow by a babbling steam and cliff side with Sara Rose was so dreamy and peaceful. The meal we had was no joke 5 stars. It was like eating summer. DELISH! Phoebe was so generous with her flower and medicinal plant offerings, we had sooo many goodies to take home. Even though I am constantly dabbling with bouquets, I learned new ways to floral design. It’s always uplifting to be around a group of like minded women and there was no shortage of wisdom being shared.” -Haley

“I thoroughly enjoyed the healing with the flowers retreat. It was a full day, with much time to sink in and relax and fully enjoy the experience. The setting was so dreamy, we did yoga overlooking the creek. Afterwards, we got to dip our toes into the water and mingle with all of the guests.

I’m pregnant and Sara Rose knew the right poses for me to support me in my yoga practice as well as the right herbs to recommend me during our herbal medicine workshop. I felt very supported. The lunch was completely nourishing. I would be lying if I didn’t say that I crave Sara’s cooking now on a regular basis. One of my favorite parts was being alloted enough time in between each segment to connect with the women on the trip and get to know them. It’s a great feeling to be surrounded by like-minded women and lots of lots of flowers.

The floral workshop was thorough but not intimidating. I love when someone truly knows flowers and how to arrange them. There’s always so much to learn. Overall I left the retreat full, satisfied, and held. I can’t wait to see what they come up with next. ~Adrienne”

My dear friend Haley Harned is an amazing local photographer who has been photographing me and my work for me for over 10 years now. She is so very talented and I love her so much. She posted a visual blog about the day and wrote about it here.
